3 Facts about Weight-Lifting

Here are a few facts and tidbits that you may not know about weight-lifting:

1. Weight lifting and strength training involves more than just getting big muscles. Just because one person has bigger muscles than another does not mean he/she is stronger!

2. Did you know that it is hard to strengthen muscle and lose fat simultaneously? These contrasting metabolic functions make it hard to accomplish both tasks at once.

3. Weight lifting and aerobic training do not have the same affect on the heart. Because of these differences, it is important to do both types of training.
